friends Harper discovered at an early age that it was easier to get along in life if people liked you. No matter how reserved he might have been as a child, he always stuck his neck out and tried to stay on good terms with those he met. By no means does this mean he actually views the people he meets as friends. That title is strictly reserved to those who can worm their way past his shell and put him with his unmasked self. Be warned: he's a brat. A smart brat, but a brat.
enemies First and foremost: Harper is not going to seek people out to become enemies with. His aim is to become your friend. If for whatever reason you hate him right off the bat, he's going to brush it off as you hating his style or something. To those who can make him take their hatred seriously, you should not expect too much of a shift from his little act unless you are in private. No witnesses except for you.
lovers Harper had a few flings back in college. It was never anything too serious, but it was enough to get him comfortable enough with his own sexuality. He is the type of person who might date someone if there is something to gain for him, and he likely won't see you as much more than a one night stand otherwise. In the event that he does fall for someone, please be prepared for this young man to a) deny his feelings, b) become extremely possessive of you, and c) ultimately become loyal to only you if you can reach the finish line.
other Harper is open to just about any plot you can come up with! He's up for new toys, people trying to take him down (if your character can legitimately pin him down as a criminal, allegiance changes (with huge overarching plots), etc. I am also all up for someone trying to mold him into the person they aspire for him to become.
He's also got some self-destructive tendencies (staying up too late/not sleeping because he's playing around on the computer, skipping meals, etc.), sooo he probably needs a mom friend. lol.
