BASIC RULES ! 1.) respect. We are all taught this as a child, and is a necessity even at NES. Treat others the way you want to be treated, and treat regular members the same way you would treat a staff member. Don't be rude to others; bullying is a no-go. 2.) rating. While NES sticks to the basic rules & Proboards TOS, we consider our site to be rated PG 13, as mild cursing and hinting towards various things such as drugs and abuse are allowed. We ask that you keep these things to a minimum, though we will not reprimand things such as the occasional slip up from a member curse word wise, characters using such language (on occasion), and mentions or hints of those various things with characters. We do ask that you try to keep all this to a minimum. 3.) avatars & signatures. We all like to have pretty signatures and wonderful avatars, however we ask that those things stick to the guidelines of the rules posted here, as well as don't stretch the pages. Avatars are 200x200, and signatures may vary so long as they don't stretch the page. If you are using custom avatars/signatures, make sure that the original artist doesn't mind you doing so (links to the original artist somewhere would be helpful, and a link to their personal pages might actually bring them more customers). 00.) have fun.

ROLEPLAYING RULES ! 1.) word count. While NES is easy going when it comes to word count, we ask that you try for at least one hundred words per in character post. It makes it easier for other members to reply to roleplay posts, and you're more likely to get better scenarios and Pokemon from mods if you do so. We won't neg on you for going under the limit unless you're doing is constantly. 2.) powerplaying/god modding. Powerplaying is making your character (and even in this case, Pokemon) are overpowered where they obviously shouldn't be; god modding is controlling another character's action, or saying someone else's character or Pokemon did something they obviously didn't (like saying your Pokemon's attack hit your opponent's before the other person even had the time to reply). This is not allowed, unless both of the RPers agree that something is going to happen already. 3.) posting. While we won't pester you on this, we ask that you at least try to post once to twice a week, in order to help the site stay active and to get guests more interested in joining. Remember that if you don't have the muse for a certain character, you can always adopt them out or sent them the recycling, even for a short while. 4.) liquid time. While we ask that members keep their amount of threads per character to a minimum, we will allow for members to have multiple threads going on at once. however, once a thread is started, any thread started or joined will not come into affect for that post until the very end; the same thing goes for if a Pokemon levels up, an item is found or an important event is played in an older thread, in that the affects of that thread will not affect any new threads if the new thread was created before the event took place. 5.) traveling & fast traveling. Much like in the games and anime, characters must progress in a linear fashion and cannot skip ahead to towns automatically, especially ones far away. However, once a character has started a thread in an area, they can go back to that area without having to post threads of them traveling back there.
