[attr="class","nokibody"]Jasper blinked, back in the light again it seemed, as he stretched his hands out before himself, pausing a moment after stepping through the foliage that hid away the secret lair to the hunter's headquarters. His knuckles popped, and he took a moment to bask in the afternoon warmth. It was a nice day, the clouds covering the sun in a pale grey but the atmosphere still sharing in its bright rays despite their dampened filtering. Summer was not yet here but winter was over at least, ending the snapping cold but holding back before the blazing heat, spring fickle as flowers burst but winds blew chilly air. He had much time before him in the day yet, enough perhaps to make progress along a route to find himself a place to stay the night, or if nothing else, scout out the area. He hadn't taken much time yet to investigate all the geography and ecology of Kinji yet, and for a while, it would be some guesswork and testing it seemed to discover what pokemon the region held and where certain kinds flocked to and dwelt. No doubt he would have to stay out some of the night too, for that should be when some of the best of the crop showed up...

Mayhaps he would have a lucky daytime encounter though. Jasper had always thought himself a very resourceful person capable of working beyond petty standards and being conformed to other's restrictions. Why settle when one could achieve more? And look, only upon this land barely a few days and already he had achieved much for himself!

Hands reaching down to pat and caress the pokeballs, Jasper considered releasing the two now gloved fingers lingering a moment over the surface of the pokeballs before he plucked them both out of his belt, walking a bit further up the path to the water and releasing them with two flashes of red. A murkrow and purrloin appeared, the dark types materializing on the ground. The former set immediately to seeming to rouse itself, flapping wings lazily and stretching before fixing Jasper with a curious and crimson eye, intelligence gleaming behind a beady lens even as the bird hunched at him. The latter curled its tail around its paws gently, emerald eyes glancing about itself quickly before settling on Jasper, watching him evenly. Hmm, both seemed bright, but neither challenged him and both held their place and eye contact. Good... good... yes they were both looking quite satisfactory. A smile spread over Jasper's features. "Welcome, I am Jasper Greymark, and from this point on I will be your trainer. If you work with me, then I think that soon we will both be able to grow in power and shall be able to achieve all that lays before us with keen minds and strength. I can give you that, and we can accomplish that. All I need you to do is to be my partner." Hands were splayed, dark-blue leather, his gaze unwavering and dark. The two pokemon seemed to glance to each other finally, both having been intent on studying him, the murkrow his stance and person while the purrloin never stopped meeting his gaze. A caw, a flick of the purrloin's tail as it went to washing its tail. "Hm. Very good then." He murmured, pleased. He would have to find names for them, assuming they did not already have them, but otherwise, all was going... rather well. Dark eyes flashed around his surroundings, checking the area, and he considered his next move. There was a village past the cave was there not? Hmm...
