deceit so natural but a wolf in sheep's clothing is more than a warning " Seriously, more cryptic nonsense?" A frown tugged at the corners of his lips. After a little visit from someone linked to his wonderful college experience, he had packed up backpack, slung it over his shoulder, pecked his mother on the cheek and told her he was given a job opportunity that would keep him on the road a lot. He refused to tell her what it was, but the man who had come to collect him had dressed in a fine grey suit. It was enough to sway her worries, and she must have figured he was going off to work at some big corporate office with a lot of travel. He would be bored out of his mind if that was the case. With his degree, he could easily get said job working for IT or even in a research department. However, here he was being led around an expansive and somehow well-hidden headquarters for Pokemon Hunters. He had joined that little club for the hell of it, not expecting to one day be using the skills there for an actual job. Well, he probably should not call this a job. There was little to no job security and--well, screw it. This was better than sitting behind a desk all day. The man in the suit had been dodging most of his questions all day, and he was pretty certain that he was either toying with him or wanted him to figure everything out through trial and error. Or, maybe there was some big orientation to attend... Doubt that. Mint blue eyes rolled as he reached up to tug at the collar around his neck. With enough walking, he was led to one last door before his recruiter bid him adieu. Harper waved him off before pushing through, and he was quick to scan around for anyone of importance or anyone who wasn't too busy to assist him. What? He wasn't going to be rude. Yet. RABDOM

Raichu Rai!"
"Oh, what is it now?"
A man nearby from the rather extensive looking computer to glare at the newcomer; a Raichu poking it's head out from underneath the table sleepily. One couldn't quite tell what he was doing, but it could be easily be assumed it was numbers. The man seemed to frown, turning around. The Raichu hardly seemed rattled by the commotion.
"Well?" he asked. "I assume you're here for a Pokemon or two, hm?"

deceit so natural but a wolf in sheep's clothing is more than a warning Mint blue eyes ceased their search and pulled toward the sound of a Raichu. The sound came from a table with what he could only assume was a scientist or researcher and a large computer that reminded him of the ones his university boasted. Granted, they needed to update their systems, but they did not stop a small whistle of appreciation as he neared. Harper turned his attention the to crabby man, and he flashed a charming, somewhat lopsided grin at him, flashing his pearly whites. Pale hands moved to the pockets of his leather jacket, and he resisted the urge to openly stare at the contents of the computer screen. " You've assumed correct, sir. You seem like a busy man, so if you could show me the choices, I'll get out of your hair as quick as I can." RABDOM

The scientist didn't seem too happy that this new recruit didn't have his option yet. He was a very busy man, after all. The boss probably wouldn't like him scaring away any newcomers however, so he merely glared at the white haired boy before turning and crossing to the back of the room; the Raichu seemingly unfazed by anything that was going on around it. The scientist returned shortly with five Pokeballs in hand.
"Here's five of some of the Pokemon we have," he said, the annoyance still in his voice. "Boss said you're allowed to choose up to two. Have to keep up with the Rangers, after all. Just hurry up and make your choice."
With that, five red lights brightened the room momentarily, releasing the Pokemon inside.

deceit so natural but a wolf in sheep's clothing is more than a warning Ah, wrong answer. It would have been a smart idea to have thought long and hard about the Pokemon he wanted to rush head-first into danger with. It would have also been a good idea to introduce himself before asking for his choices. Oh well! This man obviously would not have a good first impression either way. Simply flashing him a smile, he rocked back on the heels of his shoes as the scientist walked off. Mint eyes rolled down, flitting over the form of the Raichu. The oversized rodent seemed like it didn't have a care in the world. What a lucky Pokemon. The briefest urge to nudge the Raichu to evoke a reaction passed over him, but he did not feel like getting shocked today. Harper pulled his attention up when the scientist returned. His tone went ignored by the young man as a wide grin split across his features with the reveal of his choices. " I'll take the Deino and Absol and scram, then." RABDOM

The Pokemon were quickly returned to their Pokeballs, and the Scientist returned to where he retrieved the Pokeballs, returned three and grabbing a nearby bag. The Raichu seemed temporarily intrigued again as the man returned, albeit about to fall asleep with half it's body under the table.
"Here," said the man quite forcefully as he gestureed the Pokeballs and bag to the young man, "are your Pokemon and items. No trading for a new one of they don't want to listen."

deceit so natural but a wolf in sheep's clothing is more than a warning This scientist definitely wanted him gone as soon as possible, and he was not about to intrude longer than he already had. He might have felt a little sorry for the man if another newbie hunter strolled in almost immediately after he left, but... Yeah, no, he was not going to feel bad about it. Harper lingered for a moment longer until the scientist returned with his things. True to his word, he was ready to get out of this man's hair and scram. Grabbing the bag and Pokeballs, he flashed the scientist another grin before pocketing the Pokeballs. " You don't have to worry 'bout that, sir. I've got this in the bag." And he had plenty of methods of correcting the behavior of his Pokemon if they misbehaved. " See ya!" He gave a mock salute before turning around and striding out. RABDOM
