» TAGGED, @open, @mod » WORD COUNT, 214 The cave was pretty much like he had expected; dark (despite the lights that hung from the walls), dreary and overall unnerving. It was hard to tell what exactly lurked inside this place, and the maze-like structure of it didn't help that uneasiness flooding through him. But Jason persisted. He was a Ranger now, after all (granted, he had just joined and was considered a rookie among them), but that wasn't a good enough reason to simply give up and head back to the base. There might be trouble here, and he would be the one to stop it!
Jason half squealed as something splashed in the water next to the path, back now firmly against the wall as he watched and waited for whatever made the sound to appear again. When nothing came of it, the young man sighed and continued his journey on the narrow path, hoping to find more life. Well, more life that was less terrifying than this.
A cave probably wasn't the best place to start his adventures in, but the brunette figured he needed to catch more Pokemon to add to his team. And so far, a Zubat and a few rock or ground type Pokemon seemed the more likely choice. A water type would be a plus. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

In the dark crevasses of the cave, Pokemon scattered to and fro around the unaware trainer. Most ignored him; but some stirred after he passed a small opening in the wall. As he passed, a rock shaped Pokemon rolled out from it's hiding place and stopped, watching him walk further into the darkness. Humans always walked around like they owned the place, just because they walked around on two legs and could catch Pokemon in spheres. Well, he'd show them!A WILD GEODUDE APPEARED !! » TAGGED, RABDOM» WORD COUNT, 174 Jason barely had enough time to duck before the Geodude went flying onto the ground in front of him and skidding. Wide eyed, Jason stood again and stared at the Geodude, still very surprised at the sudden attack.
"Hey, what was that for?!" he finally managed to ask, now angered that he almost got hit by the rock-type Pokemon.
At least the Pokemon didn't actually hurt him. Well, yet. If it was a fight he wanted, well, the young Ranger had come here looking for more Pokemon and to train his team. So why not? Jason pulled a Pokeball off of his belt and gave it a toss; out came his Froakie, looking a bit tired and confused as to why his nap was cut so short.
"Hey, Ce, use Growl, then Bubble!"
The Froakie blinked again, this time at his trainer, before seeming to realize that the Geodude was there. Jumping into action, the Froakie began to growl at the opponet before a line of bubbles were shot from the water type's mouth. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

Male | Lvl 5 | Rock HeadTackle | Defense Curl | Mud Sport The Geodude seemed unfazed by the growl the Froakie gave him; instead throwing globs of mud at the Froakie, as if that would help lower his opponent's attack. The Geodude surged forward for another tackle -- but was pushed back by the water type's bubble and nearly falling into the water below. It was obvious that it affected the Geodude greatly, but the Pokemon didn't stop there; throwing himself forward for another tackle with a loud cry.

» TAGGED, RABDOM» WORD COUNT, 114 While the Geodude seemed to be getting weak, that certainty wasn't slowing it down any -- the wild Pokemon quickly picking itself back up and throwing itself at the water type with another tackle. Thankfully, the rock type was moving rather slow to begin with, and so easily dodged the oncoming attack -- however making Jason flee via almost banging his head against the wall as the Geodude rolled past him.
"Alright, I think he's almost done!" Jason said, excited as he faced the rock type. "One more bubble and I think we have him!"
"Fro!" Cetus maneuvered around Jason swiftly, and another shot of bubbles erupted from his mouth and shot at the wild Geodude. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

Sure enough, the last bubble was enough to send the Geodude rolling into the wall, out of energy and probably a little sore (if not, it was definitely going to get worse in the morning).

» TAGGED, RABDOM » WORD COUNT, 217 Well, at least the Geodude wasn't too headstrong; Jason was a bit worried what with all it's throwing itself around, that it just wouldn't want to stop. Or accidentally fall into the water and drown, as he was sure that Geodude weren't too good swimmers when it came to staying afloat. Cetus walked over to his trainer and easily caught a ride on his shoulder as Jason pulled a Pokeball out of his bag.
"We could really use a rock type," Jason said, merrily, as he enlarged a Pokeball and gave it a toss. It didn't take long before the red light flashed one last time and stopped altogether, indicating that the Pokemon had been caught. "Maybe we'll take him out to see how well he does outside of a stuffy old cave," Jason said as he put the Pokeball on his belt, "but for now, let's keep looking around."
"Froak!" Cetus said as Jason turned and began going deeper into the cavern in search of more Pokemon -- or quite possibly more people.
It wasn't like there were very many in this cavern, but he had heard that there was a small village somewhere inside this cavern. Maybe they could better direct him, or at the very least had supplies he could buy to continue to journey. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

The cave just kept getting darker and darker; or so one would believe, after being in a cave for so long. Prolonged darkness can do a wonder on someone's eyes -- and Pokemon were surely no different. In the darkness, scuttling could be heard getting closer and close to the two -- until something ran promtply into the duo, jumping back with a small squeak.

The Spiniark, in it's confusion and surprise, spit a sudden string shot at Jason's head.

» TAGGED, @open, @mod » WORD COUNT, 000 For a wanna be top notch ranger, Jason sure wasn't good at paying attention. Granted, it was dark inside this cave with very little to no natural lighting. As they got further in, the boy eventually pulled out his flashlight, shining it in front of them in order to see. And while he was carefully watching what he was doing, he did not see a wild Pokemon scuttling up from one side as the walk way split into three. Cetus, ever perched on his trainer's shoulder, jumped off quickly as the webbing shot at his trainer's head.
Jason let out a startled yelp as he fell to the ground, attempting with anxiety and surprise to remove the string shot from his face. Cetus, annoyed at the wild Pokemon's sudden attack and sent a blast of bubbles at the bug type Pokemon. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS
