EVOLUTION ! Because of how roleplaying works, evolution on NES is going to differ from Pokemon to Pokemon. We will make sure to cover everything in this thread. If you have any questions, feel free to message RABDOM or post in the site manufacturing board.LEVEL EVOLUTION !
Pokemon that evolve via evolution will evolve as they should. If they need to evolve at a certain time of day, make sure that it is the correct time needed in the thread that they will evolve in. Note that while a Pokemon can stop itself from evolving, that will become trickier the stronger they become without an Everstone. STONE EVOLUTION ! Stone evolution works the same way as both the anime and the video games. Just give the stone to the Pokemon you want, when you are ready to evolve them.AFFECTION-BASED EVOLUTION ! Affection based evolution is a little bit trickier on NES than in the games. On NES, if your Pokemon needs to evolve via having a lot of affection for the trainer. To make this fairer and simpler, you must have your character and their Pokemon interact in at least 20 posts, or the Pokemon must be mentioned out with it's trainer interacting with them. If your Pokemon is holding a Soothe Bell, that number of posts with drop to 10. After that, the Pokemon can evolve anytime you want it to. If it needs to evolve during a certain time of the day in order to evolve, make sure it is that time of day in the thread you'll be evolving your Pokemon in. In the case of Sylveon, so long as you have the needed threads, your Eevee can evolve into a Slyveon at dusk or dawn.

TRADE BASED !
Unlike the Anime and the Games, NES will not be having an exact trading mechanism like them (granted, we plan on adding the Wonder Trade later on, but still), and instead will be allowing members to trade both IC and OOC either via roleplaying the two characters trading the Pokemon face to face, or via an OOC thread. Due to this, Pokemon that evolve when traded will not wholly evolve like they usually do; although it is likely for a Pokemon to evolve sooner via trade than level. Below is how this will work:
Kadabra --> Evolves @ 36 Machoke --> Evolves @ 36 Haunter --> Evolves @ 36 Gravaler --> Evolves @ 36 Alolan Gravaler --> Evolves @ 36 Gurdurr --> Evolves @ 36 Boldore --> Evolves @ 36 Phantump --> Evolves @ 20 Pumpkaboo --> Evolves @ 25
TRADE W/ ITEM ! Pokemon that evolve when traded with an item work rather simply. While they all will still evolve (and perhaps sooner when traded) while they are holding the item necessary for evolution, Pokemon are likely to evolve when holding the item and are elevated to level 30 or up. Simply buy the item necessary or obtain it through a quest. These Pokemon include:
- Onix
- Sycther
- Poliwhirl
- Slowpoke
- Seadra
- Porygon
- Porygon2
- Clampearl
- Eletabuzz
- Magmar
- Rhydon
- Feebas
- Dusclops
- Spritzee
- Swirlix
SPECIAL TRADE EVOLUTION !
In the case of Karrblast and Shelmet, simply evolve the two when they are around each other. One could be battling the other, there could be a double battle -- so on and so forth, as long as the other is there when leveled up.
