BREEDING ! As breeding can get quite complicated, I felt that it deserved a thread all it's own. Here you will come to understand the basics of Pokemon breeding on NES, how it works and how eggs work after you receive them. Feel free to message RABDOM if you have any questions.

GETTING STARTED ! Before breeding two Pokemon, there will be a few things you have to consider, as well as what to know and what to expect when it actually happens. Make sure to read through this before getting started.THE DEED ! Breeding is more commonly done either at a DayCare -- you can find Kinji's here -- or by a breeder at their residence. When wanting to breed Pokemon at a DayCare, all you have to do is post in the board playing out the situation and what Pokemon you're leaving there. While at a Breeder's you'll get your eggs right away, the DayCare couple asks that you wait one day before your character can come claim the egg. The only flaw is that the Pokemon you are leaving must be your character's Pokemon -- no one else's!With breeding via a Pokemon Breeder, you defiantly have more options. After you've talked it over with the other person, all you have to do is make a post in the breeder's farm dropping off your Pokemon. Unlike at a DayCare, both of the Pokemon do not have to be yours; one may be the breeder's, or a friend of your character's. The down side, however, is that while the DayCare has a set price, the price of a breeder may vary depending on if you use one or even two of their Pokemon as well as how rare their or your Pokemon is, how many eggs you receive and so on.Also with a breeder, you do receive your eggs after a day; however, it can be earlier, if a mod is online to randomize stats and whatnot. ( To learn more about how farms and breeders work, go here. )CHOOSING A POKEMON ! EGG GROUPS ! While there are going to be a few things that differ between NES and the games/anime when it comes to breeding, egg groups are not one of them. Before ultimately deciding what Pokemon you'd like to breed, make sure to consider their egg groups. If two Pokemon don't have the same egg group(s), there won't be any eggs for you to have. Make sure they are compatible when choosing a Pokemon. If you're not sure of a Pokemon's egg group, sites like Bulbapedia and Serebii are great for helping you figure that out.
GENDER ! Note that some Pokemon cannot breed whatsoever due to not having a gender, or in the case of Pokemon like Beldum, can only breed with a Ditto and no egg moves are given. There are also other species that only have one gender or the other, making it a bit hard for Pokemon like Tyrouge to receive egg moves as well. TEMPERAMENT !
On NES, temperament of a Pokemon can also define whether or not one Pokemon is compatible with the other. Consider this when breeding Pokemon both of which your character owns, as there are chances that little to no eggs are produced because one Pokemon didn't like the other; and to the contrast, Pokemon that know each other well or even like each other (shown in RP threads) are more likely to produce eggs, and in great abundance. COOLING DOWN ! Note that after breeding a Pokemon, both Pokemon involved have a cooling off period, where they are not allowed to breed again for a certain amount of time as to prevent over breeding of certain species. These times may fluctuate from time to time, depending on how many of what species we have. SO far, common to uncommon Pokemon take a week to cool down, and any Pokemon with a higher rarity up to rare/endangered is two weeks. Rare/endangered take two and a half.

EGGS & MORE ! So far, eggs are created in an unknown manner - be they at a farm or at the DayCare -- and anything involving the egg making process will fade to black before it could happen. All your character knows is that their Pokemon managed to 'find' between one and four eggs -- more on rare occasions -- when at the DayCare or a breeder. In this thread, you'll get to learn how eggs work and everything that comes in them (including the Pokemon).
CLUTCHES ! Like in real life, it's not uncommon for Pokemon to have more than one egg. While it depends on the species of the parents -- endangered Pokemon generally only give out one to two eggs per clutch, whereas a bug or canine type can dish out four or more if you're lucky -- as well as the moderator generating the eggs, moves and whatnot, you can guarantee that you'll see at least more than one egg per clutch. It's also likely that, in cases of Pokemon in similar real life animal attributes (i.e. Arcanine and Ninetails, Persian and Liepard), those pairs who have been aptly paired together will likely receive more eggs. And much like in real life, if two Pokemon are properly matched and more than one egg is given, it is likely that the offspring will be either parents -- meaning in a group of four eggs where the parents are an Arcanine and a Ninetails, two eggs could hatch into Vulpix and two could hatch into a Growlithe, or any combination the mod can think of. Like with all modded threads, mods will use sites like Random.org in order to generate how many eggs a clutch can get, as well as take into account the species and rarity of both of the parents. Rarer Pokemon will receive less eggs than common Pokemon; and when breeding a rare and a common Pokemon, the offspring will more likely be the same species as the common parent and not the rare. EGG MOVES ! Much like the games, egg moves are given through breeding, and more often than not given to the offspring by the father. If you want your baby Pokemon to know a move it shouldn't know until evolved or a higher level, this is the way it can be done. Egg moves will be given the same way regular moves are given -- through a randomizer or the the staff member selecting the best move from what is given. If you don't like the egg moves given, no worries -- you'll likely receive the egg move wanted on your next run through. ABILITIES ! Abilities are usually given the same way they always have been -- through a staff member assigning it. However, abilities can also be passed down from mother to child through the use of the mother holding an Everstone during breeding. When an Everstone is held, the offspring will have a large chance ( about 50% ) at having the same ability as the mother (so long as it's possible for that Pokemon to have).

THE PROCESS !
After all that wall of text, I'm sure you're wondering: "Now that I know what comes with breeding, how to do I initiate it?" Well, simple.
After you've made your choice as to where you wanted to go -- either through a breeder or through the DayCare -- and have set everything up, simply go to the necessary board and create your starter post, with the Pokemon you're going to use with your character in some way (doesn't really matter how, just make sure to mention them). In the DayCare, a staff member will reply, taking the Pokemon and having your character return after at least two days. You'll then wait and create another post of your character returning for their Pokemon, and depending on your posts and the Pokemon left, you'll have an egg!
At a Breeder's farm, you'll simply post in their board and have a thread with them, leaving your Pokemon and allowing the Breeder to do their work. Once said breeder has posted a 'fade to black' post of the Pokemon at their farm (if they got along), a mod will post next with the stats. Depending on the farms rules and whatnot, you'll have a various amount of site money to pay; as well as, you might only get one egg, even if your Pokemon had more than one, depending on the farm you used.
If you have any questions, feel free to message RABDOM!
