name ;; Jason Leigh Acheson age ;; 16 gender ;; Male home ;;class ;; Ranger ****** physical appearance ;; Jason stands at around five feet eight inches, his skin tanned due to constant exposure to the outdoors; his eyes an emerald green. His hair is brown, often standing spiked or on end due to his lack of desire to keep it. He can't weigh more than one hundred and thirty pounds, and the majority of it is muscle.
clothing ;; Jason's attire consists of a slight variation to the normal Ranger outfit. The usual red is colored green instead, the collar flipped up more times than not. His black undershirt has been replaced with a gray undershirt, his shorts the same way. He wears green running shoes, along with green fingerless gloves and a loose-hanging belt that his Pokeballs hang off of. A pair of goggles are usually keeping his bangs out of his face.
His winter attire often consists of a heavy blue cameo jacket, yellow glass, blue fingerless gloves and white snow pants. He tends to wear many layers of clothing when in cold climates, despite the fact that he's quite used to cold climates themselves. His Pokeballs are now attached to the strap of his backpack instead of his waist for better access.
Whenever he is off duty and among other people, Jason generally tries to dress nicely (especially his work often involves him being covered in dirt 95% of the time). His favorite attire is either a long sleeved blue shirt with a collar (of which is where it should be) or a white button up shirt with a collar (again, where it should be) along with a pair of jeans and a pair of decent-looking tennis shoes. His Pokeballs are usually hanging at his hip.
His bag is a rather durable looking -- if not worn out -- one strapped green bag with many pockets for a various amount of things. He generally only keeps necessities inside it, so chances you won't find much that isn't Pokemon related. The strap is usually hanging diagonally across his chest, with his Pokedex and PokeNav hanging off.

personality ;; At first glance, it's quite easy to notice how friendly, out going and charming of a young man Jason is. He's usually all smiles, willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. It isn't unlikely that he'd even be willing to help lost travelers find their way to one town or another, even if it meant traveling with them until they got to their destination. One can tell that he is defiantly confident in his abilities, and while he isn't afraid to use a map ( or two ) while on a journey, he'll be more likely to try to navigate on his own once he believes he's going in the right direction. A little too much confidence on his part has led him to be a bit hard headed due to this; if he honestly thinks he's going the right direction or taking the right path, he's less likely to try a different route unless given a valid reason.
If one could not tell by his tanned skin and fit frame, Jason is defiantly an adventurous type of person who prefers who stay outdoors in the wilderness, rather than sit inside all day reading or be cooped inside city limits. When not patrolling the great outdoors, Jason is likely to be found training -- both himself and his Pokemon. Jason believes that for his Pokemon to become better, he needs to become better, too; which means running regularly and making sure he stays fits (although he does have a sweet tooth for hard candy, and carries some around in his bag; he has an adorable tenancy to hand them out as a nice gesture or if he doesn't know what to say in a conversation, if he has any left). Mountain climbing and swimming are his second and third choices, and he can often be found doing any of these three things with a Pokemon able to join him.
While not naive in most aspects, he can be easily fooled by those who have held high ranking potions before, or those who have the means to pull such things off. And as a Ranger, he's supposed to help others -- both Pokemon and humans alike -- in the wilderness; making being bias rather hard, at least if you're serious about your job. If you probably couldn't tell by now, Jason is a rather serious person when it comes to his job. Rarely will he ever call in saying he needs time off unless it's due to seriously sickness or family affairs -- and the prior only happens when his Pokemon push him to rest. His favorite topic of conversation is his job, and all of the things he's done, or the people or Pokemon he's met along the way. If you get him talking enough on it, you'll likely even get him to tell his father's old Ranger stories.
****** history ;; Jason's history first started with his parents; his father, named Jacob Acheson, being Ranger, and his mother, Ashley Smith, being a Coordinator when they first met at ages 21 and 23, respectively. Jacob had been storming one stormy evening when his Pokemon had found the woman; her Clefairy having been spooked by the storm and had gotten itself lost. After the poor Pokemon was found and Ashley was safely returned to human civilization, the two would continue to keep in contact over the next few years.
At ages 26 and 28, the two would wed and begin their lives together in Icirrus City; Ashley retiring from show business with the income she had made traveling and winning shows and instead chose to work at the local PokeMart while she and her husband raised a family. Jacob still worked as a Pokemon Ranger, the job being his passion; while he was gone the majority of the week, he tried to be home as often as he possibly could for his family.
Eric Acheson was firstborn in the family; being born on a warm sunny night one year after the two were married. Ashyln Marie was second born, two years after her older brother. Three years after that, Jason and Austin Acheson were born. You could imagine the surprise the family had when they heard that Ashley was having twins; not to mention fraternal. While there were cases of twins in Ashley's lineage, none had been born as of recent. Both boys were fully heartily welcomed to the family none the less.
Being in a family of four wasn't the easiest life for Jason and Austin; but it wasn't ever boring. Often, whenever their mother was at work and their father out, the four would be in the company of a baby sitter; though less of their time was spent more outdoors than in. Jason was obviously the more active out of the two, always tugging his brother to and fro and whining whenever all Austin wanted to do was read a book. They tried to play outside as often as they (considering Icirrus City is known for its cold and often drab weather), and their play time was used pretending they were Rangers like their father.
Days when they were stuck inside was often boring for Jason; Austin, on the other hand, showed a fondness for books and learning, very unlike his brother. While in school during their young age, Jason proved to be less fruitful when it came to absorbing knowledge, and his teachers even suggested to his parents that he might have ADHD. Whenever Jacob had off time from work, he tried to take his family -- Jason especially -- out in the marshes and area around Icirrus to enjoy nature and learn more from their father about it; even allowing the children to use his Pokemon in mock battles with him.
When Eric turned ten, the boy naturally took to wanting to start his own journey, and left for Professor Juniper's Lab as soon as he could. He called as often as he could, and once he managed to return to Icirrus to battle Brycen for his next Gym Badge, he was more than willing to show off his Pokemon. Jason was enthusiastic at seeing his brother again, and more so about hearing about Eric's journey across Unova. While the threat of Plasma was long since gone (only reminates of them around), the stories of Eric's adventures weren't fruitless. Eric even invited his younger siblings to watch as he battled the ice type Gym leader.
Ashlyn followed on the path of having her own journey two years after Eric (who was now taking time off from being a trainer after traveling through all of Unova in a year and a half); however, rather than be a trainer, Ashlyn decided to become a Coordinator like her mother, her region of choice being Hoenn. The family had saved up enough money for a boat ticket over there, and she made sure to call often while she was traveling. Eric would join her soon after for another journey, leaving Austin and Jason at home with their mother and soon to be retired father.
At this point, the twins were seven years old, and it was quite obvious they were sharing less and less in common. Jason always preferred to adventure outdoors and be with nature, often wanting to help the baby Pokemon from one puddle to the next; it was obvious he didn't mind getting dirty, either. Austin showed less enthusiasm for outdoor adventures as he grew older, often wanting to read during recess and always the one to ask the most questions in school. He was a very avid learner, compared to Justin, who had a difficulty paying attention during class.
At the age of ten, the two boys excitedly began their first journeys -- and decided to travel in pair, none the less. Due to a few connections from the boy's father, the two were able to travel to Kalos for their first journey (though them traveling together probably saved a lot in expenses). Jason's starter was Chespin, and Austin's was Fennekin -- better suited for their personalities, considering Jason was the one who primarily battled Gyms and went on scouring sprees for Pokemon while his brother hung back, reading up on all things Pokemon in order to use it in the battles he rarely entered (in which, he and Jason both won a fair amount between them).
It was a little over two years before the duo scaled across all of Kalos; Jason totaling in at eight badges while Austin totaled in at only five. He, of course, stayed to watch his brother face the Elite Four -- which he did great on, until the Champion finished his already weakened Pokemon quite easily (Austin had warned him to bring more potions, in all fairness). While it hadn't broken Jason's spirits in the slightest, the duo decided to return home to rest and tell their family of their adventures.
At the age of fourteen, Jason would again start on another journey -- alone, this time. His father still had some connections with the Rangers, albeit being retired, and knowing that Jason had always wanted to become a Ranger, had set a meeting up with his old boss to get Jason in to training. Austin hadn't been too into becoming a Ranger, obviously, and had chose to stay to go back to school rather than be trained to fight danger. This upset Jason, obviously, however he took it with stride. They would still talk while they were separated, though not as much as they once would.
Training was rough; while he was not allowed to do much of the harder things older rangers did until he was 16, so he was often tasked with smaller things, using his older Pokemon or Pokemon loaned to him by other Rangers. This would go on for about two years, until Jason was deemed old enough and well trained to start handling bigger jobs. He was assigned to the Kinji Region, and he spent some time at home with his family before leaving; his brother promising to join him soon after he was done studying and the likes. ****** ooc name ;; RABDOM how did you find us ;;rp sample ;; click
